GigSync (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the EventSync mobile application.
When you create an EventSync account, we collect:
- Email address (for authentication and account recovery)
- Display name (optional, for your profile)
- Profile photo (optional, uploaded by you)
2. Event and Group Data
When you use EventSync, we store:
- Events you create or accept (title, date, location, venue)
- Groups you create or join (group name, member list)
- Chat messages within groups
- RSVP responses to events
- Notifications preferences
We automatically collect:
- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- App usage data (features used, crashes, errors)
- Push notification tokens (for sending notifications)
We use your information to:
- Provide core functionality (event management, group coordination, chat)
- Authenticate your account (login, password reset)
- Synchronize data across your devices
- Send notifications (event reminders, chat messages, invitations)
- Improve the app (fix bugs, analyze usage patterns)
Data Storage and Security
Firebase (Google Cloud)
EventSync uses Firebase (by Google) for:
- Authentication (Firebase Auth)
- Database (Cloud Firestore)
- File storage (Firebase Storage - profile photos, group images)
- Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
All data is:
- Encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted at rest (Firebase server-side encryption)
- Stored on Google Cloud servers (compliant with GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001)

Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active
- Deleted accounts: All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Inactive accounts: Accounts inactive for 2+ years may be deleted
Data Sharing
We DO NOT:
- ❌ Sell your personal information
- ❌ Share your data with third-party advertisers
- ❌ Use your data for marketing purposes
We ONLY share data:
- ✅ With group members you choose to join (name, events, chat messages)
- ✅ With Firebase/Google (as our service provider, under strict privacy agreements)
- ✅ If required by law (court orders, legal obligations)
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data (view all stored information)
- Modify your data (edit profile, events, groups)
- Delete your data (delete account permanently)
- Export your data (request a copy in machine-readable format)
- Opt-out of notifications (disable push notifications)
How to Exercise Your Rights
- Delete account: Settings > Profile > Delete Account

Children’s Privacy
GigSync is NOT intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
International Users
GigSync is available worldwide. Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers in:
- United States (Firebase/Google Cloud primary region)
- European Union (if selected as your Firebase region)
By using GigSync, you consent to the transfer of your data to these regions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- In-app notification
- Email (to your registered email address)
- Updated “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy
Continued use of EventSync after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Account Deletion
Users can request deletion of their account and all associated data at any time.
To delete your account:
- Send an email to japanacmusic@hotmail.com
- Include your registered email address in the request
- We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days
When you delete your account, we will permanently remove:
- Your profile information
- All messages and chat history
- Events you created
- Any uploaded images or files
- All other personal data associated with your account
By using GigSync, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
